Stress Management

Stress is defined as the body’s response to pressure. It causes physical, emotional or psychological strain. Stress is a natural response to not being able to cope with certain events or demands that are put on us. 

Stress can affect anyone and affects people differently. A little stress is good for us because it can actually help us to get motivated and make positive changes to our situations. 

If you are a person who struggles with stress management when it comes to work or your daily life, here is a little tip; the four A’s of stress management. 

  1. AVOID

Plan ahead

Avoid the people who promote stress

Learn to say no

Set priorities 

2. ALTER

Respectfully suggest change

Communicate feelings openly

Time management 

Set limits in advance 

3. ACCEPT

Venting – your feelings are still valid

Forgiveness – Don’t attach yourself anger

Practice positive self talk

Learn from some situations and accept that some things don’t change. 

4. ADAPT

Adjusting standards by redefining habits

Empty minds practice through meditating 

Reframe the issues. Look at them from a different point of view

Adopting a mantra in verbal form
