We all have times when we replay a situation over and over again in our heads, we know that this isn’t any good. Yet, it is really hard to actually stop the thoughts from popping up.
I can relate because I spent time doing this. I spent time going over certain events and situations asking myself how could I handle the situation differently? Could I have said something different?
The key here is to look at the situation from a distance, however, not from your own eyes but imagine this from a video/ camera. In essence we reframe the thought or memory and lower the emotion that is associated with the situation.
