This week is Mental Health Awareness week.
1 in 4 people experience mental health issues every year. I can relate, I suffer and have been on antidepressants.
In terms of our mental health, there aren’t any rules stating how we should be looking after ourselves mentally.
I do want to give you a few reminders though:
- It is okay to want your pain to be noticed
- Asking for hep isn’t attention seeking
- Sometimes you just want a hug and that is okay
- You are enough
- You matter and your mental health matters
It is important to think about what we are doing to support our mental health alongside even looking at what other things we can be doing.
For me, looking after my mental wellbeing is, meditating, going on walks in the sun, writing/ journaling and playing with my cat.
What do you do that supports you mentally and makes you feel good?
Also, please note that if anyone simply needs a chat, I am here.
All The Best,
