We always find ourselves apologising for things that we don’t really need to and here is my reminder of things that you really don’t need to apologise for:
- Saying no. It can be to plans, or that extra shift. Whatever it is you are allowed to say no and you don’t need to apologise.
- Saying how you feel. If something is bothering you, it is okay to let people know how it is affecting you and you don’t need to say sorry for that.
- Asking for help. It is only normal to need help, we can’t do everything so don’t feel bad for asking if you need the help.
- Looking after yourself. You are number 1 and if you need a self-care day yo are entitled and you don’t have to apologise or justify why.
