I have been feeling a bit agitated this week. I think it has been a mixture of the heat and also working a lot.
I stress how important balance is and sometimes I do forget to take my own advice.
It also struggle to say no when I am asked to do extra shifts. I feel an overwhelming pressure to say yes as I hate letting people down.
The thing here to remember is that we are allowed to say no. If you think something will be too much for you and may compromise your wellbeing, say no.
At the end of the day, you don’t want to get burnt out or even start resenting the work you do and the chances are you won’t show up.
So if you feel like things are getting too much or you are working too much, this is my reminder to you to take a step back, pause, rest and recharge.
