Wedding Bells Are Ringing

Hi There!

Happy Friday. I haven’t posted on her for about a week but I have had a good reason, I went on holiday. I travelled to Châtel in France for a wedding of one of my best friends. It was truly such a special day.

We arrived on Friday 7th October, and started the trip with Quiche while we waited for our ride from the airport. We got driven from Geneva airport to Châtel. The drive took about 1hour 40 minutes. We stayed in a chalet, but as it was dark, we didn’t get to see much of the view.

Waking up the next day was such a pleasant surprise, the views from the chalet were absolutely breathtaking. After a little walk, it was time to get ready and drive to where the bride was staying. We helped her get ready. She looked absolutely radiant. It was also really emotional. I have gone to weddings before but I haven’t actually been part of the whole wedding party like this as a bridesmaid.

Once the bride was ready, us bridesmaids all got dressed. We wore a pool blue dress. We were on a tight schedule as we had to have the photos done before the ceremony. It was a raining but that didn’t dampen the mood. As they say in France, a rainy wedding = a happy wedding. Once all the photos were done, we had some drinks, meats and pastries before driving to the town hall for the marriage.

Me and The Beautiful Bride

Although it was in French, I did manage to understand some of what was being said. Next up was the Church ceremony. I can honestly say, it was an honour to walk down the aisle with the other bridesmaids. The ceremony was beautiful and you could see how happy they both were.

It was then time to unwind and enjoy an Appertivo followed by dinner and a party. Everyone was in great spirits. The food was tasty, the drinks were flowing and the dancing was in full swing.

I think we went to sleep gone half 4 maybe 5 but I can say it was a day full of love and happiness.

All The Best,
